I wonder if the recipe for Retrofire Chili has been tested. Not being a cook or imbiber of chili of any kind, I wonder if the recipe has been cooked per the instructions. If so, how was the creation? Did the chili pack the reported wallop?
Just curious!

Though Wes sent this story to me most of 10 years ago, I never got around to asking him about that, mainly because -- like Jon -- I don't like chili. All I've tried are too spicy for me. Someone else braver than I am can test it. It probably doesn't have the secret ingredient listed that Hjalmer claimed wasn't there. Just in case, maybe we should get signed liability releases from everyone who plans to mix up a batch? Not Wes

not wes made a batch a while back no moose meat had to use venison. it was good but lacking a little something. added a pound of some unlabeled only dated "wild game" from the freezer. could have been raccoon, muskrat, nutria some sort of plant eating water loving critter(i trap a lot of nusiance critters) maybe even some beaver in the mix not sure it was ground pretty fine. whatever it was it made the 2nd batch pretty tasty. tj
