Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells . . . All right, you've braved the Black Friday crowds or gone online to order a Kindle, Nook, Ipod, Android, smartphone or other e-book reader for someone as a Christmas gift. However, it's always nice if you give one of those readers with some books already on it so whoever gets your gift can start reading it right off. With that thought in mind, the Spearfish Lake Tales Store is offering a couple of special Christmas deals at a considerable savings to you: Bird in the Hand, Bird on the Field and Out of the Cage from the Bird series or three from the Independents series, Forgotten Killer, Promises to Keep and Redeye. These offers are only available through the Spearfish Lake Tales Store 2016 Specials Page, and not through Lulu, Amazon, Kobo or Barnes and Noble. Sale ends December 25, 2016.

I hope you DO know that Jingle Bells was originally written as a Thanksgiving Celebration song under the the title One Horse Open Sleigh? It had nothing to do with Christmas, although many people use it as a Christmas song.
