several years ago, When Wes first wrote "Stray Kitten", I was impressed with his knowledge of how and why LEO's did the things that they did. Having been a Former LEO myself, I felt that the conflicts were very well discussed in this story, and that people would give Police in a Small town a bit of trust in their handling of critical incidents like occurred in the 2nd chapter of "Stray Kitten". the interference by someone in a crime of assault and rape was something that you saw "In a Small Town". (Thank you, Jason Alden ) And the aftermath in 2008 would be clearly explained in the likes of this story. Fast forward to 2023. And we have a Different set of yard sticks and rules to measure public behavior by. I cannot help but wonder if we could go back to those days in comfort.
