I saw a news article that mentioned that Indian Gardens in the Grand Canyon National Park had changed its name to Havasupai Gardens. The NPS in the 1920s had forcefully relocated the last of the original Havasupai residents. The Havasupai Tribe felt the name Indian Gardens was offensive.
In Down by the Riverside Nanci tells Al Buck that she had stopped there while hiking up the Bright Angel Trail. There is a small campground at that location.
