So ends Rag Doll, and probably (though we don't know what is in the queue) the Full Sails series.
As near as I can tell, everybody has their future plans squared away, though I'd like to see Mary get a companion.
I often think about what happens to characters when their authors pass away. I think of Robert Heinlein's "World As Myth" idea, and wonder what happened to HIS characters when they no longer had him to give them excitement. Maureen's closing line in "To Sail Beyond the Sunset" was "and we all lived happily ever after", but that doesn't satisfy. I imagine somebody saying, "life sure got boring."
I guess I'm just peeved at the way life works.

SLT could live on as Fan Fiction. Wes has pretty well fleshed out the varied characters in the SLT universe, so an author could use those characters as a foundation to build on.
Or not.
The real question id to honor Wes's SLT universe by continuing or letting the reader to continue the adventures in their own universe.

I guess we really dont know what Wes has in pipeline, and it would be disrespectful to dive into the fan-fic idea right away. Along with many others I would love to know what happens to Mary and wee Matt. For now it must sadly remain an "unfinished work".

Along with many others I would love to know what happens to Mary and wee Matt. For now it must sadly remain an "unfinished work". I'm not sure what Wes's limitations were, He has a note at the bottom of every chapter as to the licensing info. That is: This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License. If you go to the place on any of his chapter pages and click the link you get in part: NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material. That last one to me reads like it means no fanfic allowed, or if you write it you can't post it to the public. Write all you want for yourself. I'm not a lawyer though. I'll let those types stick their neck out and interpret. Wes has allowed at least one other author (Argon) to use his Redlite Ranch Bordello to place a scene in one of Argon's stories though. That was done with permission. What do I know? Nothing. I'm Not Wes
