I found a really good picture of a Rock Island GP7. I have updated the rail power page "http://spearfishlaketaleswiki.com/wiki/SLT_Rail_Power" of the wiki.
If any of you have any pictures that we should add please let us know.
I am shamelessly recruiting assistance for the wiki! We need to make it as comprehensive as we can while we can.

Good idea. I did log onto the Wiki once or twice. I didn't find it particularly easy to use so I gave up. I do have information I learned while being a beta reader on some of Wes' books I would be willing to share. Maybe someone who is familiar with the Wiki could partner with me to help me add to the site. To throw out a tidbit, Wes Boyd's Bibliography on the Wiki lists eight completed, unpublished books. Wes completed a ninth book on 12-24-2017 and sent it to me for comments. It is sitting on my hard drive essentially complete (typos and minor errors). I have read it three times and sent multiple comments to Wes up through 1-31-2018. A major family illness kept me from looking at it again but I figured this book wouldn't be published until 2019 or 2020. Wes seemed enthused about the book and talked about minor revisions and a possible follow up book. I would happy to discuss it with anyone but you must first tell me the first name of the main character of the book.

Boyd:
Do you have the Time Frame for Hickory Run and Ragdoll? I would like to add that info to the bibliography page.

Hickory Run 11-22-2005 through 5-2-2007. Total, 93,069. 3877 words per chapter average. 10 days, 9306 wpd. -- 8:46 PM, 2/21/15. That info came from Canyon Magic, renamed Hickory Run. The town and seminary was originally called Ash Fork which is a real town about 20 miles west of Williams, Arizona south of the Grand Canyon.
Sorry, I don't have any information about the dates of Rag Doll.

Boyd:
Thanks. I have already updated the wiki. Wes used to keep up the bibliography page. I am trying to fill in.
Any information you can furnish is of help.

Sorry, I don't have any information about the dates of Rag Doll. A note I have from Wes in 2016 says that the time period Rag Doll takes place is in the 2010s, no specific dates. JEH

Dawnwalker 11 May-June 2007
New Spearfish Lake 13 2010-11
Redeye 2015 instead of unspecified. Steve tells Ann he graduated from Bradford HS in 2002, then served 4 years in the military plus 4 years in college and then worked 5 years before he was terminated. That adds up to 13 years after 2002 which is 2015.
The independents are probably set after 2000. One book mentions a real person who died in 2007.
The book Wes finished in December, 2017 has a definite time frame but I have no authority to mention it.

I’m glad I saw this thread. I was just about to ceeate a new post here asking the Wiki mods about adding Rocinante, Magic Carpet, Songbird, Skyhook, Mary Sue and Rag Doll character pages. I think all of those are essential parts of their respective novels, and should be treated as such. I’ll be happy to write them, if there’s agreement they should be included. -Greg

After following the Rail Power link, above, I found pages for Rocinante and Magic Carpet. They’re hard to find, though. Maybe adding a menu option for Equipment (or Inanimate Characters) would make things easier?

Greg:
Please email me kirbyatprospectortech.com. I will be glad to discuss the wiki.
We originally linked the equipment and terms pages at the top of the page for Snowplow Extra. This was almost 10 years ago when we started the wiki.
I am sort of a railroad buff so I have concentrated on those pages.
We just continued to do that for any story that they related to.
I think a page or pages about planes, race cars and other inanimate things is a good idea.
