Yes, it's true. Wes Boyd, author extraordinaire, will celebrate his 70th birthday on November 5, 2017. He didn't sound like he had any special plans. Maybe he should take his wife out for a meal at a fancy restaurant on the 4th since the 5th is on a Sunday and the end of Daylight Savings Time in the U. S. which generally plays havoc with our time clocks.
Maybe his fans and loyal readers will want to wish him well on this forum or in an email. Those who have already passed this milestone can reassure him that individuals, writers included, can have a good life in the years after turning 70. He has 50 books on the website and 9 completed ones to be released plus several awaiting completion according to the SLT Wiki.
Who knew all this would come to pass when over 30 years ago he wrote a book about a train in the north woods saving a small town which was in danger of burning down.
I wish you long life and good health.
JK

Happy Birthday and welcome to the 70's generation. You may look old but write very young. Your life experiences make your stories come alive and entertain many. Keep it up and enjoy life.

Hello Wes,
Happy Birthday, great to see you made it that far. :-) From a guy that has 14 more years to go to get that far. ;-)

Thanks to everyone for the greetings. At least I got in the Biblical threescore and ten, and I've known people more or less my age who have not.
