I just posted the first chapter of Bullring Days Four: My Little Pony. There are 30 chapters. RTF files, mobis, epubs, and PDFs are available from the Spearfish Lake Tales Store Bullring Days Four: My Little Pony page. Sales on Lulu for hardcopies, epubs and PDFs have also been enabled. Preorders have been shipped. Very often when I put up a new story there are html bugs that don't show up when I tested it locally. I usually stay around until around midnight EDT to deal with any of those issues that you bring to my attention, or to ship out orders that have come in. However, I have to be away this evening, but I will check in when I get back to deal with any issues that arise. Have fun reading Bullring Days Four: My Little Pony! -- Wes

Bug in new story page. Wes, While on My Little Pony page and click on new forum page it opens in the side plane not the entire page. I had to go to the home page to open the forum.

yeah, this is an interesting bug. Both the chapter page and the header/intro page do it.
I was also kind of wondering when Kayla would show up again...
Telzey. I've either seen the name in the book, or read the book(s). But I sure can't place the book...

Of course I suppose I should also mention that it's a little hard to navigate the page, since it's all crammed into the left hand panel (Grin)

Telzey Amberdon is the main character in James H. Schmitz's series contained in an anthology "The Complete Federation of the Hub" which is available at Amazon. the individual stories were in Analog and there were a number of paperbacks also.

The James Schmitz Telezy and other stories used to be available as free e-books at baen.com. They charge for them now. Great reading -- I discovered them way back in the sixties. -- Wes

I'm terrible with names. We have the Baen re-issues down in the basement, and I did read them.. just.. well, I'm terrible with names. (Although I admit the summary that showed up on the Wikipedia page doesn't ring any bells, either. Maybe time for a re-read...

Actually, I've been reading the Telzey Amberdon stories on the Bain sites. I don't know if that's all of them, but they seem to have four tales up there available for free on-line.

Emily and Kevin Holst first started dating when she was (from memory) an Eighth Grader, and it was the same time that Ray and Ginger got together. Ray and Ginger got married soon afterwards, Emily and Kevin shortly after she graduated. Will and Kayla are the same age so Ginger was really in no hurry to start a family.
Or am I missing something?

You're right. Plus Will is the younger son of Ray and Ginger probably born in 1989 or 90.

Long time ago, in a universe far, far away - I started to read Bullring Days 1 when it started posting, and just couldn't get into. However, something in the story brief about My Little Pony got my interest yesterday, so I read the first 12 chapters, then went on site paid my money, and am now waiting to be sent the e-pub I paid for. I may have to go back and give the other Bullring Days stories another try, but will see how I feel after I finish My Little Pony.

Ernest, I think you'll enjoy the first three Bullring Days books. I personally liked BD3 the best but the first two only a little bit less so. The first two books are the only ones so far that Wes has written in the first person (he can correct me if I'm wrong) and I think that he handles it very well. It took me three or four times before I could complete reading one of Wes' early books, Snowplow Extra. I think that's because it's more plot driven than character driven which I prefer. I just finished my third reading of it a few months ago and I think it compares favorably with his later books.
Congratulations, on your new book, Mallard Heir, currently being posted on SOL. Your usual great effort and definitely worth a read by everyone on the SLT Forum.

I don't know which I have read the most often but The Next Generation may have been re-read the most. I do try to re-read Absent Friend at least around Memorial Day each year. It helps me maintain the memories of the friends I lost in that senseless slaughter. I hope Wes decides to expand The Bullring series. Mel's comment at the end of II about Will's girlfriend racing Nascar has to be a story! Is it Telzey? Kirby
