Obviously, Wes wanted a forum that was very low maintenance for him. The "old forum" still exists in an archive status on another host. Maybe this could be done with the "new forum". A third and "final forum" could be created with more than one person having administrative status to handle problems as they arise. Archiving this forum would probably need a login name and password to make it read-only. Creating another forum doesn't prevent problems here and adds complexity which Wes was trying to avoid.
I favour Not Wes's suggestion to continue with this forum as it is for as long as there is interest.

That is probably the best solution. I think most readers know better than to open obvious spam.
