For those interested in the planets etc, Jupiter is at it's brightest this week - partly because it is directly opposite the sun when viewed from Earth, but also because it's orbit is closest to Earth right now.

I guess by this time of night the Moon will have set where you are - another few hours for me. last night was a dead loss - light clouds, dang it - that's what I get for living less than a mile from the saltchuck, sigh - warm air and cool water = seaside mist.

I believe I did see Jupiter in the early AM. The cloud cover had lifted and it was the brightest object in the sky after the moon. My binoculars did help somewhat.

I saw Jupiter while out walking after 8:30 PM during the Blue Hour. It came out of the SE. Sky clear. It supposedly visible until 5 AM, Good viewing.
