Jase, that sounds like a perfectly satisfying hobby that you can practice in your retirement years as long as you are mentally and physically capable. In Forgotten Killer, Phil Gravengood mentions he flies a Piper Cub J-3 which may be an earlier version of your plane. He must have later acquired the Stinson which Mark learned to fly with.
I mentioned to Wes that writing likes he does could be the foundation of a long and fruitful retirement as long as he retains his mental acuity remains sharp.He has a lot of he still needs to write.

Thanks, Jase, for your comments about flying and its expenses. If doing something makes a person happy and they can afford it, then it is money well spent.
I recommend in preparation for the new book that you read the last 4 or 5 chapters of Magic Carpet. You'll discover where the title of the new book came from and how much JennLynn is worth.
