I just learned that Katie Lee died back in November at age 98. For those who may not have heard of her, she was an environmental activist and an implacable foe of the Glen Canyon Dam. She was also a river runner, outdoor explorer and folk musician. Take a look at her web site www.katydoodit.com/index.shtml that has the announcement of her death. I will also recommend a couple of YouTube videos. The first www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDt4ygXgIes by Arizona Public Media was made when Katie was 95 and the other www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf7eaeY36tE just over a year before her death. In the second we meet her long-time partner Joey van Leeuwen who talks about how he worries about Katie and doesn't know what he will do if she dies. According to Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katie_Lee_(singer) he committed suicide the day after Katie's death. Katie lived a life anyone could be proud of. RIP Katie.
