I'd suggest checking your DNS -- I suspect that some ISPs are going "political" and refusing to list "certain" sites. If you know how to set which DNS server(s) your system uses. (Easy on Linux /etc/resolv.conf which is editabale as root -- and most routers have a way to directly set the IP address of the DNS) then have a look at this page and choose one or two.
